Nadeem, who holds the Olympic record with a 92.97-metre throw at the Paris 2024 Olympics, delivered a performance just shy of the Asian Championship record of 86.72 metres. His consistent throws throughout the event ensured his top spot on the podium, reaffirming his dominance in the sport.

This marks Pakistan’s first gold medal at the Asian Athletics Championships in over 50 years, the last being in 1973 when Allah Dada and Muhammad Younis won in javelin throw and 800 meters, respectively.
